Santa’s Helpers Scholarship & Awards Program

1. Program Purpose
Santa’s Helpers Association is committed to encouraging both youth and seniors to continue learning, serving, and growing in different areas of life. This program includes two categories of support:
• AI Technology Learning Scholarship: Encourages lifelong learning and technological advancement.
• Senior Community Participation Award: Honors seniors aged 60 and above who actively participate in charity and community service. Through these awards, the Association seeks to inspire more people to live out our mission of
“Sharing Warmth, Love & Hope.”
2. AI Technology Learning Scholarship
Purpose
To encourage students and adults to study artificial intelligence, data analytics, and
automation—enhancing employability, innovation, and community development.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be 16 years or older, residing in Canada or holding a valid study permit.
- Currently enrolled in or have completed an AI-related course (online or in-person).
- Must demonstrate motivation for learning and plans to use their skills to serve the community.
Award Amount
CAD 200–500 per recipient per year, depending on course type and learning outcomes.
Evaluation Criteria
- Learning attitude and attendance.
- Proof of course completion or project results.
- Potential contribution to the community or Association.
3. Senior Community Participation Award
Purpose
To recognize seniors aged 60 and above who actively engage in charity work, volunteer service, or community
projects, and to encourage more seniors to continue spreading love and kindness after retirement.
Eligibility
- Must be 60 years or older and a resident of Canada.
- Participated in charity, visitation, fundraising, or event support within the past year.
- Must provide photos, service proof, or a recommendation letter.
Award Amount
CAD 200–500 per recipient per year, based on service hours, impact, and dedication.Evaluation Criteria
- Frequency and consistency of participation.
- Demonstration of teamwork and compassion.
- Reflection or testimony sharing the experience.
4. Application & Disbursement
Application Period
Applications are accepted from March 1 to April 30 each year. Award recipients will be announced in May.
How to Apply
- Complete the online application form or email submissions to info@santashelpers.ca.
- Include ID, proof of study or service, and a short personal statement (200–300 words).
Disbursement Method
- Awards are issued via e-transfer or cheque.
- Recipients will be invited to share their experiences at an Association event.
5. Additional Notes
• Each person may apply for only one award per year.
• In case of limited funding, priority will be given to long-term volunteers and outstanding applicants.
• All funding sources are transparent and come from public donations and Association fundraising efforts.
